But not as actively doing renders as I would like. Mundane life keeps getting in the way. (Trying to buy a new house, lawsuits, all kinds of crap)
Thanks for all the support I do get here.
-EDIT-
Didn't mean to leave you hanging with the lawsuit comment.
Back in September 2014 my wife and I were rear-ended in a car accident at a stop light (We think, but can't prove the driver was texting when it happened) The car hit us so hard, it shoved us under the car in front of us (a corvette). Totaled the car, and my wife was seriously injured. Granddaughter in the back seat was in her car seat. The impact ripped her car seat from its mountings in the car. She was shaken up, but not harmed.
Terry had her latest surgery (fusing some neck bones) just two weeks ago. We got a lawyer, and my part of the suit is almost over (I wasn't as seriously hurt as my wife.) I'm getting some money, but not much after the medical bills and lawyer is paid. ($10K won't even payoff my car) Still more than I would have gotten if I didn't have a lawyer. Lawyers suck until you need one, and then you want the best-! If you are ever in a car accident, make damn sure you go the doctor within 14 days, and get a freaking lawyer!
I can't discuss the particulars, or what is happening with my wife's part.
I can say that we just closed on a house on the 12th of December, and are now looking to do some cleaning/updating of our new home. (Money didn't come from the settlement.)

Frustrated in the sense that I never have the time to write. There are two muses that live in my head, one a writer, the other the artist, and they both compete for what little time I have. When I get this story in my head, I can write for days non-stop until my writing muse thinks I'm done. If I stop for too long, she leaves me, and I lose the thread of the story, and most times the 'need' to write on that story.  Something called 'responsibilities' and the need to pay for food keeps getting in the way, and as I have a family to support, a house to remodel, and dogs that need their walks, my writer's muse gets easily frustrated and angrily walks away, leaving the story unfinished.
The artist muse thinks my writer's muse has some great ideas, and pushes me to illustrate a scene from whatever story I'm currently working on.

I have two finished novels written, but as I'm my own worst critic, I endlessly edit them, changing this and that to make it read better. The plot remains the same, the characters are pretty much the same, but everything else I edit the hell out of. For more than 20 years, I have worked the same 'main' sword and sorcery story line, and have spun off countless short stories based on it, some of which will be their own novels- If I ever get the time. Ten years ago I counted the number of pages I'd written about that fantasy world, and it came in at over 5000 pages, spanning several thousand years- not including the novel I was working on. I have no idea how many pages I've written now as I l lost a huge chunk of writing when my computer crashed, and the backups were destroyed through my own stupidity. (The crash took all my renders too- the only copies I have are the ones I posted here at DA and that other site) I published some story fragments here at DA, but once again, they remain unfinished as my muse moves on to other ideas.
Sad part is that I started writing this fantasy story about the same time R.R. Martin started writing his series of books, but at least he's getting published.

Last year I finished a murder mystery set in Arizona, and I'm currently re-editing it as well, going from roughly 300 pages to 600 pages in length, giving the protagonist a background story which explains why she is the way she is. Writing her background has been interesting as she has had a fucked up life, but its changed the scope of the story- should really be two stories. This story has now spun its own sequel (or three) based on other people from that first novel.
Last year, my muse thought it would be a good idea to write a series of 'novellas' about the worlds only time traveler, where each trip into the past is its own story, so I did the research to justify why a frumpy middle aged woman could be only time traveler, and submitted the first story to an online publisher, but they wanted to see more for the first story. Although I've written three other short stories for this time traveler, I simply haven't had the time to write more for that first bit, and to be honest, I'm not sure how to make that first story longer.
My  creative muses easily get frustrated when I can't give them the time they deserve, and threaten to quit, but they always find their way back with new ideas of what to do with what little 'free time' I do get.
I just wish I could finish something.

do you have a publisher.......? I know the feeling. easily distracted. I suffered with this infliction since High School. However when you do get into muse yes one can get going on end.
But life goes on, keep the good work up and don't give up. I too had a dog which needed walking twice a day!

Cheers

No, no publisher. I did submit the time traveler story to the Incaproject, and I am hoping that it will be a stepping stone to bigger things.
And I have three dogs ;)

The New Slave is one of the very best artworks in the entire DeviantArt universe.

If time permits, it would be great if you could do a very similar picture on an Ancient Greek, Roman (my preference), Gorean, or Arabian setting.

Thanks! The slave motif is something I will definitely be doing once I get back into rendering.
